Proudly serving Milwaukee and all surrounding areas, we are a Full Service Insulation & HVAC Company specializing in Deep Energy Retrofits.  A Deep Energy Retrofit is a project that drastically overhauls an existing building in an effort to improve the overall building system at once. The goals of these retrofits are to improve the building’s energy efficiency, comfort, durability, indoor air quality, and health and safety aspects.

Although every home is unique, they do of course have many similarities.  Most home builders did not start building homes with energy efficiency in mind until the 1980’s when building codes starting addressing the issue.  Even to this day, building code is really just a minimum, and does not adequately ensure that homes are built as efficiently as they should be.

These improvements include building shell and mechanical equipment upgrades, both of which focus on efficiency and comfort, while other measures such as ventilation systems are aimed at improving a building’s health & safety and indoor air quality (IAQ).

Space heating equipment such as furnaces and boilers, as well water heaters are routinely replaced with safer, higher efficiency equipment.  Chimney vented appliances, also called “atmospheric” are considered obsolete and should be replaced as part of a Deep Energy Retrofit

Building shell improvements often include attic insulation and wall cavity insulation, but usually start with air sealing work.  With the introduction of high tech diagnostic equipment such as blower doors and infrared cameras we are able to pin point leaks quickly and efficiently which can contribute to a home’s efficiency and comfort equally or more so then adding insulation or replacing a furnace or boiler.

The concept of a Deep Energy Retrofit encompasses all of these concepts and more in order to provide you with a safe, incredibly comfortable, energy efficient building that you call home.
